Little Miss Madeline

Madeline has been sick with pneumonia. After quality time spent with the nebulizer and some antibiotics, she is finally doing much better. Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers! As you can see, she has hit the very girly phase and we are starting to say good-bye to terrible twos. Thank goodness. Her new interests include nail polish, her "hello kitty" brush, flossing and dress up. Anything to be a BIG GIRL!

SNOW DAY!

We're home today for a snow day! It came down really hard all morning but that didn't slow down Aidan! We started the morning off with some hot cocoa which was quite a treat! Aidan, Duke and Daddy played outside while Mommy took care of Madeline. The boys played football, hockey, attempted making a snow man and shoveled the drive. Duke was in heaven...who would have guessed he is almost 13 years after seeing him in action today! We are not sure what is going on with Madeline since the doctor is closed. Hopefully we can get her checked out tomorrow.

Nice Chop Sticks!

We celebrated Aunt Amy's birthday with a lovely Sushi dinner. Aidan and Madeline preferred cooked food but impressed us with their chop stick skills! A sleep-over was in order at Nana and Baba's so Mom and Dad could take Amy out for her b-day after we had cake. Everyone had fun times! If the Panthers had won, the night would have been perfect!

Duke Tennis

Aidan played tennis for the first time today at Duke Tennis Kids Day. He was the youngest athlete, but still did well and had fun. Thanks to our friends Ramsey and Kathy for making this happen!

Happy New Year!

It's hard to believe it is 2009~the best is yet to come! Madeline has actually really been looking forward to saying "Happy New Year" after learning about it in one of her Madeline story books. She got Aidan and Duke in on the act, too!

Aidan's 1st Hunt

Ryan took Aidan hunting today. They didn't take any guns (thank goodness, is Mom's opinion on that!) but did climb into the stand and watch for deer. We are easing into this hobby since Aidan is still just four years old. Fun times for the boys!

Very Merry!

What a very merry Christmas ! We spent the morning at our home and ventured over to Nana and Baba's house in the afternoon. The children got their wishes granted by Santa for the alarm clock, Wizard of Oz movie and baby doll. There were even a few surprises for everyone to enjoy! Madeline was quite excited about her pink scooter and Tarheel dress, while Aidan loved his new air hockey table. Now maybe he'll stop using my wooden spoons to shoot play money into baskets to score goals in our living and playroom areas!
