Very Merry!

What a very merry Christmas ! We spent the morning at our home and ventured over to Nana and Baba's house in the afternoon. The children got their wishes granted by Santa for the alarm clock, Wizard of Oz movie and baby doll. There were even a few surprises for everyone to enjoy! Madeline was quite excited about her pink scooter and Tarheel dress, while Aidan loved his new air hockey table. Now maybe he'll stop using my wooden spoons to shoot play money into baskets to score goals in our living and playroom areas!

Letters from Santa!

After our two visits to Santa this year, Aidan and Madeline must have done something right! A letter for each child arrived today in our mail box from the big guy stating that each child had made the "nice list". He also pointed out some of the great accomplishments for the year: Madeline using the potty and Aidan's excellence in sporting events. He included reindeer dust and a signed photo. The children were SO EXCITED!
Santa at Sienna Hotel

We went to the Sienna Hotel in CH on Friday for story time with Santa. Everyone enjoyed hot chocolate and cookies. Aidan sat on Santa's lap again to remind him about the alarm clock and also put in a good word for Madeline and her Wizard of Oz movie. (She was too afraid....again!) The hotel was decorated beautifully. There were some awesome gingerbread houses....one looked just like the hotel!

Our Visit to Santa
The kids did better this year, but Madeline still is not too sure about Santa! After much coaxing and some help from her ram and brother, we got her on the big guy's lap. Aidan told Santa he wants an alarm clock and Madeline wants the "Wizard of Oz DVD" and a baby. Luckily, a baby doll, not a real baby. Mommy and Daddy aren't too sure about a 3rd child!!!!
Holidays are Here!

It's hard to believe the holidays are upon us again! Aidan and Madeline are excited and always great helpers with all the decorations for Christmas. The children have helped assemble and decorate all our trees, bake/taste sweets, put up lights outside, make candy cane reindeer and help place the Carolers, Santas and Snowmen. We have many more fun activities ahead of us in the coming weeks.
