Lil' Caniacs

We took Aidan and Madeline to their first Carolina Hurricanes game of the 2007-08 season. Madeline had never been to an NHL game before and just loved everything! Aidan was a little different story...the play was quite physical with many fights and loud fans. He let us know he was ready to go each time these events began to unfold. Madeline just seem more interested with each fight and louder cheering!

Tarheel Football

Well, we aren't in Texas or Oklahoma anymore! Aidan and Madeline attended their first college football game and watched the Tarheels play Virginia in Chapel Hill. Aidan did not like the fireworks or loud noise from the fans cheering. Each score from the Tarheels sparked a fireworks display behind the endzone. Lucky for Aidan the Tarheels don't score too often! Madeline, on the other hand, couldn't get enough of the game. We had to drag her out of Kenan stadium!

Carolina Beach

We took the kids to Carolina Beach (just outside of Wilmington, NC) for their first ocean experience. They loved the sand but not the waves! Aidan was really excited to see the USS North Carolina battleship and the "big guns for shooting" onboard! We had a great time and will treasure the many wonderful memories of the kids on their first trip to the beach.

Birthday fun

"Happy Birthday to my Mommy" has been Aidan's favorite tune for the last month. He was so excited when the day finally came. One of the best birthdays ever... Daddy made Mommy a birthday cake all by himself and took us to the Bulls game!

Labor Day

We were so lucky to escape to cooler temps for a Labor Day weekend in Wisconsin. Aidan is getting so big and really looks forward to riding the jet ski and "driving" the boat. Madeline got her first chance to ride on the jet ski and Aidan was so jealous of her! It didn't help that Madeline rubbed it in the entire time she was "driving" it. Other fun times included Madeline helping Baba work, visiting Cookie the cow at the dairy, making Mommy's birthday cake with Nana, Madeline's look when disciplined and the rocking chairs on Baba's deck. Madeline also had the glory of displaying her 1st black eye in all the pictures from this trip. She is going to be tougher than nails!!!
