Happy Halloween

Aidan and Madeline had a wonderful Halloween! Over the weekend, they celebrated at the Tulsa Zoo's HallowZOOeen. On the 31st they attended the Halloween carnival at school. Here they played games, decorated cookies, did the cake walk and enjoyed face painting. Madeline loved watching her big brother do everything! After this excitement, we came home and enjoyed an evening of trick-or-treating. Ryan and Aidan (baby bumblebee) hit the neighborhood while Anne and Madeline (Chicago Bear and Ladybug) passed out candy. It was pretty cold--in the 40s, so we bundled up our baby bumblebee. He had a blast and was an old pro ringing doorbells and getting candy by the end of the night!

Almost 30 years later

They say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, like mother like daughter, like father like son, etc. You decide how much alike Madeline and her Mommy may be! Thanks to Nana and Baba for the soft copies of Anne's baby pictures.

Pumpkin Patch

We spent an October Friday night at the Pumpkin Patch in Leonard, OK (just south of Tulsa). They have tons of pumpkins, gourds and squash. Pony rides, animals to feed and hay rides are also a big attraction. Aidan loved the adventure and Madeline just seemed to try to take it all in. It was great people watching for her!Aside from the strong winds, it was beautiful fall weather and a great experience for the kids.

Let's Play

Aidan plays wonderfully with Madeline. He shares his toys and shows her everything about how they work! When Madeline tries to use them herself he cheers her on and makes sure she is doing it right. What a cute duo they make!

Our best friend, Duke

Aidan and Madeline love their dog! What a great pillow he makes! He is great to share toys and snacks with too. Duke has really grown attached to the kids. He keeps them company and always seems to find a way to snack off them when they are eating.

5 Months Old!

Madeline is 5 months old and mobile! She's rolling over, scooting on her tummy and has almost mastered sitting up. She enjoys her baby food, nursing and is working on cutting a few teeth. Her friends at "The Picture People" have selected her as winner of their photo contest twice and now she's in the national competition. In a few weeks she'll join her big brother at First Christian while Mommy starts back as career mom!

Grammi's House

Aidan and Madeline spent 5 days at their Great Grammi's house in Omaha, Nebraska. Highlights of the visit included a trip to the Omaha Zoo, visiting relatives and riding an indoor ferris wheel at Scheel's. Aidan left Nebraska cheering "Go Huskers!" after being coached by cousins.

God Bless Texas

We kicked off October with a long weekend in Texas visiting family and friends. Aidan and Madeline visited their new friend Jagger and spent time with their Aunt Erinne, Uncle Blake, Maw Maw, MeMe and Papa Don. It was a great weekend!

Blow Out the Candles

Aidan has really started to enjoy birthday celebrations. He looks forward to singing happy birthday, opening presents and having cake. He is the official "candle blower outer" for us!
