Happy Halloween!

Aidan and Madeline had a great Halloween this year. They kicked off the holiday with a celebration at SouthPoint manor with all their neighborhood friends on Tuesday night. We had pizza, sweets and a parade. On Halloween day, Mommy stayed home to play! We woke up and decorated cupcakes for our luncheon at Pozen. Then we trick-or-treated at Carol Woods Retirement community with Aidan's friends from school. We headed to Pozen for the lunchtime party and had fun trying so many different foods and seeing all the fun costumes and other kids.

Aidan and Madeline were both pretty worn out after the big morning and lunchtime events. Naps were extra-long and they slept through the carnival at Aidan's school! Mommy didn't dare wake them....she wanted trick-or-treating to go smoothly that night. So instead we carved pumpkins after napping and then had tacos for dinner. Nana came to surprise us with Halloween treats so she could see us in costume! She kept an eye on the kids while Mommy finished pumpkin carving. Daddy got home just in time for tacos. After dinner, we went as a family to trick-or-treat in the neighborhood. We were joined by Aunt Katie and Aunt Amy! The weather was perfect and we saw many of our neighbors and friends. Aidan rang the doorbells and Madeline was so cute saying "meow" for candy. They both came home with enough candy for all of us to eat until we were sick! What a fun day!

Busy Bees!

Aidan and Madeline are busy little bees. Rarely do they stop...unless ofcourse they are sleeping! These are some fun action shots of them playing!

FALL FUN!

We stopped off at Patterson's Mill on the way home from school last week. Aidan and Madeline had fun climbing on the antique wagons and checking out the pumpkins. We purchased a baby pumpkin for Aidan to take to "show and share" at school.

Happy Birthday to Daddy

Happy Birthday to our Daddy! We helped make him a cake and blow out all his candles. We opened his presents for him and read him the Birthday story. He is such a lucky daddy! One of Daddy's best presents was his new job.

Lil' Caniacs

We took Aidan and Madeline to their first Carolina Hurricanes game of the 2007-08 season. Madeline had never been to an NHL game before and just loved everything! Aidan was a little different story...the play was quite physical with many fights and loud fans. He let us know he was ready to go each time these events began to unfold. Madeline just seem more interested with each fight and louder cheering!

Tarheel Football

Well, we aren't in Texas or Oklahoma anymore! Aidan and Madeline attended their first college football game and watched the Tarheels play Virginia in Chapel Hill. Aidan did not like the fireworks or loud noise from the fans cheering. Each score from the Tarheels sparked a fireworks display behind the endzone. Lucky for Aidan the Tarheels don't score too often! Madeline, on the other hand, couldn't get enough of the game. We had to drag her out of Kenan stadium!
