She's WALKING!

We've been celebrating Madeline's birthday for the past week or so. What fun for all! Today we wrapped up with a 1st birthday finale and she topped it off for us with something extra special. Miss Madeline started walking! We were so thrilled to see her take 6 steps all by herself. And imagine this....she started walking because she was trying to get to a new pair of pale pink sandals her Mommy bought her. Like mother like daughter...we love shoes!

Home Sweet Home

Well, we're finally coming up for air. The unpacking is done (except for the attic) and we are starting to enjoy our new home and neighborhood. The weather has been nice so we managed to put on our Carolina blue attire and get a family photo on our front porch.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter! Nothing could be finer than to be in Carolina....aside from the cold weather (winter coats and white linen outfits don't really go, but oh well) we had a great Easter celebration. We enjoyed festivities including mass at St. Thomas More and dinner at Nana and Baba's house. Aidan had a blast today celebrating Easter with lots of treats (jelly beans and M&Ms). Madeline was a great sidekick watching and looking forward to when she can have treats like Aidan! She had a great 1st Easter taking everything in!

CHCC Egg Hunt

The kids enjoyed their first egg hunt at Chapel Hill Country Club this easter. We started at the tent to get checked in and see clowns and all the kids. Then we ventured to the driving range where the eggs were scattered for "hunting." Madeline wasn't too sure what to do on her first egg hunt, but Aidan quickly showed her the ropes. Both children enjoyed the hunt and seeing the other kids at the club. It was a chilly day and very windy, so everyone bundled up for the festivities.

We MADE IT to Carolina

After living in boxes, eating out every meal, saying good-bye to friends and traveling cross-county, the Smiths are happy to announce that we've made it safely to North Carolina. Aidan has been announcing this for over a week now with excitement.We're not through all the boxes yet, but are making great progress.

We are MOVING!
