Grammy's 80th bday in KC

We celebrated Grammy's 80th bday with all of the family in KC. It was a fun weekend on the plaza with shopping, Sat night mass, dinner at Plaza III and Intercontinental brunch the next morning at the hotel. Madeline caught a bug along the way which kept us on our toes....we thought she was just teething, but realized later that it was not the case! As usual, Aidan stole the show and entertained the entire family most of the weekend. What a little HAM he is becoming!

So Big!

Madeline and Aidan are really getting big. They play together at Aidan's train table and share their snacks with Duke. Each day is different from the last...no dull moments around here!

Our Valentines

Happy Valentine's Day to ALL! Aidan and Madeline have become great friends. Madeline is now 9 months old. Hard to believe she has mastered crawling and is pulling up on everything. Busy, busy just like her brother. Car rides are so cute, because the two kids look at each other and play all the way. Aidan sings Pat Green songs at the top of his lungs and Madeline chimes in with squeaks and squeals. They don't want to get out when we arrive at our destination. We are so grateful that we had them close together so they could play and be great friends.

Thomas and his friends

Well, Thomas and friends are still the rage with Aidan. He gets fired up about anything involving trains. We look for them on every car ride to school, every trip to soccer and play on his train table when we're at home.

Full Speed Ahead

"I'm tired of sitting around," she says! Madeline is crawling with speed and you could say the honeymoon is now over. She is into everything and Aidan cheers her on. The eyes in the back of our heads are becoming more important than ever now.

Winter ICE storm

The freezing rain has been coming down since Friday afternoon now and it looks like we're in for a weekend full of this weather. We haven't done much, but Aidan has wanted to go out and play in the ice/snow. It is solid ice out there and when you walk you slip and slide. It's so frozen solid you don't even leave footprints behind! Aidan is much happier now that he has a set of gloves, courtesy of Aunts Amy and Katie. The last storm we had wasn't fun for him to play in because his hands got too cold.
