Soccer Stud

Aidan and Daddy go to soccer every Saturday morning from 9-10 am. It is a blast to see Aidan running all over, kicking the ball and throwing it too! Here's an action shot of Aidan kicking!

Papa Don and Meme visit

MeMe and Papa Don came up to visit and we exchanged gifts. Aidan was very excited about his "big truck". He wore out the battery the first day he had it! Good thing Papa Don didn't put any lights on it or he'd try to ride it in the dark. It's pretty cute to see him in action. He always wears his helmet and seatbelt and luckily it only goes about 3 mph. He's learning to steer but still needs to work on that after running into all his toys in the backyard.

Christmas Program

Aidan and Madeline had their Christmas program at school today. Madeline rode in the buggy and everyone sang "Joy to the World". She seemed to enjoy the view and we were happy she got to sit in the front seat. Aidan's class sang "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" and many of the children wore stars. We suspect Aidan did not like having the star on his head because he was without costume during the program. Our little performer sang most of the words, did all the hand motions and clapped for himself at the conclusion of the song. It was a wonderful celebration of the Christmas holiday. Ryan and I took lots of pictures and got the show on video, too!

Aidan pedals

It's official...Aidan has learn to pedal his trike and you should see him go! We're not too sure when he picked this up, since we just noticed it recently. He is going to be something to keep up with now! He'll be biking with us in Wisconsin before you know it!

Christmas Cards

Who said Mommy was the only one who liked to get Christmas cards out? Looks like we have two in training who are into Christmas cards too!

Holiday Playtime!

Aidan and Madeline hosted a holiday playgroup for some of their neighbors and friends. Aside from eating chicken nuggets and candy, the balloon artist we hired was a huge hit. He made a life-size reindeer and all kinds of cool holiday themed balloons. Aidan wanted a "noman" balloon to wear on his head. Some of the other hot balloons included angel, santa, candy canes, alien reindeer, christmas tree and a wreath with bow. The kids also exchanged holiday books. It was so cute to see all the kids tear into their gifts and receive a new book. Christmas really is about the kids. This was a fun time for them and all of the parents, too!

Mommy's meeting

Mommy had her first out of town meeting since she returned to work from having Madeline. Daddy called MawMaw to come visit and help out. The kids had a blast spending the week at home with her and I suspect they wore MawMaw out. Madeline's sleeping habits changed a bit...the 2am, 5am wake up calls weren't very fun I hear. According to Daddy she was up at all different hours. We think she's hitting a growth spurt, so maybe some cereal in her bottle will help cure this and help her sleep better.
