Let the FUN begin

Madeline and Aidan opened their first Christmas presents from some great friends in the neighborhood. Madeline loves her baby (Aidan likes it too) and Aidan was able to really hit some great shots with his new wiffle ball pitching machine. We've started early so that everyone can enjoy the kids opening their gifts. In addition, Madeline has taken a great liking to shoes (CROCS especially...that is all she wants to wear!) and headbands. She is sporting the Olivia Newton John look in the photo posted. We got many laughs out of this one!

Making Ornaments

Aidan wanted to do holiday crafts this year, so the three of us (Aidan, Madeline and Mommy) have been busy making ornaments! This is what the holidays is all about!

Christmas Parade

Madeline's school asked us to ride on their fire truck for the Chapel Hill Christmas parade. It was quite an event riding on top as we toured downtown Chapel Hill on Franklin Street through UNC campus! The last time we went to this parade, Mommy was a brownie riding in the back of a Dominos Pizza truck. How things have changed!

Here Come the Holidays

Ice Skating

Nana and Baba took Aidan ice skating for the 1st time last weekend. He did great. It was amazing how much he improved during the time we were there. He wants to be a hockey player...does a great impression of the Canes' goalie Cam Ward!

Turkey Day!

Happy Turkey Day 2007! We had a great time staying in Chapel Hill to have turkey, watch football and decorate for the upcoming Christmas holiday. It was beautiful weather, so we even played a little baseball prior to the Cowboys game. Aidan's favorite is Tony Romo! Madeline is really talking! She has shocked us with her early counting skills. She's 18 mos and can count to ten! We think she's had some great coaching from her big brother. She also has quite the spanish vocabulary these days....some favorites include adios, bano, besos, and hasta luego. There are probably others that we haven't caught yet!

Omaha Trip

Aidan, Madeline, Mommy and Nana went to Nebraska to visit Grammy and meet their new cousin, Addyson. We had a great time riding the airplane and having snacks. When we got to Grammy's we saw all of our relatives and played! Aidan rode the indoor ferris wheel again and we also visited the Union Pacific trains by the botanical garden. It was too cold for the zoo, but maybe next year! (Notice the lovely shades of green and purple around Madeline's eye. She had a run-in with Aidan's footboard after Mommy advised both children to stop jumping on the bed!)
